CS:Govern Installation (Linux or Mac)

Installing CS:Govern (Linux or Mac)

Installing CS:Govern takes a few seconds and does not touch any system files. You should not need root permissions.

  • Make sure your computer meets the prerequisites.

    • Java 1.8 (or above) must be installed.

  • Download CS:Govern from CapStorm

  • Change to the same directory as where CopyStorm is installed (usually /opt/capstorm with CopyStorm as a subdirectory). Be sure that you have administrative privileges on this directory so that you can unzip the download into this location (see the next step.)

  • Unzip the downloaded zip file into the “/opt/capstorm” directory. A single directory named CSGovern will be created.

  • Go to the “/opt/capstorm/CSGovern” directory and:

    • Run the command “sh CSGovern.sh” (or make the launch script executable).
