# Record Lineage Parameters

Record Lineage specific parameters. Record Lineage maps a logical record to one or more physical forms over time, tracking how the record evolves within the same system or across different systems.

| Enable Record Lineage Candidate Scanning | If checked, CopyStorm/Restore will consider record lineage when performing a candidate scan. If unchecked, CopyStorm/Restore will not consider record lineage during Candidate Scans. | Related Lists Scan Option                | <p>Configures how CopyStorm/Restore manages related list relationships when determining record lineage during the restoration process.<br>Available values are:</p><ul><li>Do Not Scan Old Lineage – When performing a candidate scan, only the related lists of the HEAD lineage are scanned.</li><li>Require Consistent Relationships – When performing a candidate scan, child records are scanned only if they maintain a consistent relationship with the parent’s HEAD.</li><li>Scan Old Lineage – When performing a candidate scan, lineage is ignored, and all child records are considered..</li></ul> |
