# Record Lineage Parameters

Record Lineage specific parameters. Record Lineage maps a logical record to one or more physical forms over time, tracking how the record evolves within the same system or across different systems.

| Create Record Lineage                    | If checked, CopyStorm/Restore will create a lineage entry when a record is inserted. | Enable Record Lineage Candidate Scanning | If checked, CopyStorm/Restore will consider record lineage when performing a candidate scan. If unchecked, CopyStorm/Restore will not consider record lineage during Candidate Scans.
