CopyStorm/Director 2.37.2
Release Date: 23-Sep-2106
This is feature and bug fix release.
Allow Tasks to be Manually Started and Killed from the Administrator GUI
On the Job Editor Task page, a specific task can now be started manually. If the Administrator GUJI closes the task continues to run.
Refactor Task Scheduling to Support Specific Months and Days of Months
A new visual tool has been added for setting a task’s schedule. The tool, under the “Task Options…” button on the Job Editor page, now supports both Month and Day of Month options and shows the proposed schedule as the schedule is being entered by the user.
Launch CopyStorm on the Configuration File used by CopyStorm/Director
The “Task Actions” button on the Job Editor page supports launching the CopyStorm GUI on the configuration file used by a task.
Launch CopyStorm/Medic on the Configuration File used by CopyStorm/Director
The “Task Actions” button on the Job Editor page supports launching the CopyStorm/Medic GUI on the configuration file used by a task.
Fix a Bug When the Day of Week Was Specified as Mon, Tue, etc. Rather than as Digits
This was a bad bug — the application could hang. Now the terms Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun can be used instead of day numbers.
Organize all Actions Possible for a Task on a Single Pulldown Menu
The “Task Actions” button on the Job Editor page supports a variety of actions on a task.
Update the Task Log Database Record As a Task is Running
As a task is running, CopyStorm/Director periodically updates the log data in the CopyStorm/Director database. In addition, when the log for a task is viewed, the view will check for updates and display them in the viewer (the check happens every 10 seconds). This feature supports monitoring the log of a running job directly from the CopyStorm/Director GUI.
Fix a Bug in the Zombie Task Harvester that would Overwrite a Process’s Log Record
In previous versions, if the JobRunner program was killed or died before tasks that it had launched completed, the log for running tasks would be truncated and replaced with a message the indicated that the tasks did not complete normally. This version preserves the log from such tasks and appends a message to the saved log indicating that task completed outside of the scope of the JobRunner.
Add a Button that Clones an Existing Job
A new button on the Task Editor, Clone Job, creates a copy of the currently displayed job.
